I have been a Registered Massage Therapist since March of 1999.
I am a graduate of the 2,200 hour Diploma from Foothills College of Massage Therapy in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
I am a member in good standing with the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada Assocation (formerly the Association of Massage Therapists and Wholistic Practitioners)and I am also a member with the International Association of Healthcare Practitioners.
I am trained in Swedish Relaxation Massage, Therapeutic Massage & Deep Tissue Massage.
Swedish Massage techniques are lighter gentler strokes to encourage circulation, detoxification, and efficiency of body systems and to induce relaxation.
Therapeutic Massage techniques are deeper strokes, including Trigger Point Release work, to ease knotted muscles, decrease tissue contractures, and assist in soft tissue healing.
Deep Tissue Massage techniques are even deeper than therapeutic and may take the level of tissue release deeper but it can be painful. I do my best to find the balance between maintaing effectiveness and not taking the patient to deep thru that pain barrier.
I have continued my education in Aromatherapy, Myofascial Release, P.N.F. Stretching, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Infant Massage, Reiki, Reflexology, Iridology, Chi Nay Tsang and CranioSacral Therapy.
CranioSacral Therapy has become my primary focus; it is an non-invasive, gentle, yet effective bodywork. It is beneficial without harmful side effects, it is an incredible wellness healing art.
